Water Reclamation Facility Inspection Report

The Washington Department of Ecology conducted an inspection of the city’s Water Reclamation Facility (which processes and cleans all the raw sewage from everyone’s homes and business) and did something they rarely do… They gave our facility an outstanding review with no corrections or deficiencies. We are proud of every single member of the WRF team and cannot thank them enough for all their hard work! Please join us in celebrating and congratulating this team on an incredible accomplishment. The full report can be found here

The Class A Reclaimed Water the WRF prduces is used to water the parks and schools and for city irrigation and aquifer recharge. When demand for reclaimed water is low, it is stored at Cochrane Memorial park or discharged into the Centralia Power Canal and the Nisqually River.
