FEATURED BUSINESS OF THE WEEK: Yelm Cinemas

With their self-serve, all you can eat popcorn and reclining leather seats, Yelm Cinemas offers guests a unique experience that they won’t find anywhere else in Thurston County. Due to COVID restrictions and a limited amount of new movies coming out, Yelm Cinemas is open from 12:30 pm – 10:30 pm, Friday through Sunday. They are currently operating at 50%, limiting group sizes to 2, unless from the same household, and maintaining 6 feet in between different groups. They are showing a mix of classics and new releases, with weekly schedule changes. The two biggest movies you can look forward to is Croods 2, coming out on Thanksgiving, and Wonder Woman 1984, on Christmas day.

General Manager, Noah Aden, made it clear that no matter how much changes at the theater, one thing he knows he can always count on is his team. “The staff we have right now is really great and have all been so understanding of the current restrictions. I am lucky to have the staff that I do and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.”

Make sure to check out their website later this month for when they release information about renting out theaters for private events that can range from 15-65 people.
