Water Sewer and Stormwater Rates
A municipal water system is similar to that of a commercial enterprise. The objective of the government is to recover its cost in these operations through a system of user charges. The City intends to keep water, sewer and stormwater rates as low as possible while keeping up with population growth and infrastructure needs.
Water utility rates are used to operate, maintain and improve the City's water distribution system that provides for the delivery of safe, high quality water for all water users.
A typical single family residential home pays $148.66 per month for water.
Wastewater utility rates are used to operate, maintain and improve the City’s sewer system and ensures safe disposal and treatment of wastewater in the sewer service area.
Stormwater Rates fund the maintenance and operation of the City’s storm drainage facilities. Maintenance of the drainage system is required to reduce the impact of heavy rain or prolonged wet weather conditions.

A typical single family residential home will pay $8.50 per month for stormwater.
Reduced Rates
As of March 1, 2018, the monthly base utility charges for water, sanitary sewer, stormwater and surface water of any utility subscriber of the city meeting the eligibility and qualification requirements of this Chapter shall be reduced by 50 percent.
To recieve a reduced rate, customers must fill out a Reduced Residential Utility Rate Application.
